Açaí extract powder is a concentrated botanical ingredient produced from the fruit of Euterpe oleracea, an Amazonian palm associated with commercial production in Brazil. Depending on the grade, processors may separate and extract selected fruit components, concentrate the liquid and convert it into powder by spray drying or freeze drying. A carrier such as maltodextrin may be used to support drying, flow and handling.
Açaí extract powder is not the same as whole-fruit powder, freeze-dried pulp or Nutrifena Dehydrated Açaí Powder 50%.
