The exact process and composition depend on the selected grade and supplier specification.
Receive and prepare the coconut kernel. Mature kernel material is removed from the shell, cleaned and reduced in size under the supplier's raw-material and food-safety controls.
Extract the coconut milk phase. The prepared kernel is mechanically pressed or otherwise extracted, often with controlled water addition, to obtain a liquid containing coconut fat, water, protein and other coconut solids.
Separate coarse solids. Screening, filtration or related separation removes larger fibrous particles and produces a more uniform liquid feed for standardization.
